How to Apply
  • The submission of a proposal to the Eckerd Family Foundation is by invitation. In order to be considered, an organization must first provide the following:
  • A brief concept paper describing the organization, its history, mission and a concise description of your proposal stating what you wish to accomplish. Include a clear description of what you are doing and how you measure success. Ordinarily, this letter does not exceed three pages.
  • A list of your current board members and the Selected Financial Data form.
To download the form, click here.
  • The total budget for your proposal, the amount you intend to request from the Eckerd Family Foundation and any funding committed to date.

All inquiries will receive a response with an explanation for the denial, an invitation for a full proposal or a request for more information with additional instructions and deadlines. Please give careful consideration to your response as our initial decision as to whether or not to proceed with a proposal is rarely reconsidered.
Submit all letters to:

Grant applications are invited throughout the year. Upon being invited to submit a proposal, a specific time schedule will be assigned to an applicant. Grant requests are reviewed regularly by the Grants Review Committee. Formal action on grant requests ordinarily takes place at board meetings or at other meetings as may be scheduled at the board’s discretion.
