Quality Parenting Initiative
For the past four years, the Eckerd Family Foundation has supported the Quality Parenting Initiative, a project designed to ensure that every child who is not able to remain with his or her birth family is cared for by a family that can perform the difficult task of loving the child as their own while respecting and maintaining the child's relationship with his or her birth family. A key part of that effort is the availability of training to care-giving families when they feel they need it. The site below provides "Just in Time" learning to foster parents through the Internet. Families can request live training, can participate in previously scheduled live webinars or can view previously recorded sessions. To learn more and access the training, click on the link below.
